soulfood

i have always had a passion for food; creative resourceful cooking that can be enjoyed with family and friends. nothing fancy or elaborate, but nourishing and filled with goodness and love.

but in my work with food and nutrition, I have observed a growing disconnection between what we put in our mouths, and what nourishes us. i also knew that ‘eating healthy’ or observing a strict set of guidelines was not making us ‘healthy’ at our core. while whole foods, eaten mindfully are important, the connection to what truly nourishes us, is far broader than food alone.

the notion of soulfood is that nourishing our souls is the primary ‘food.’ at the heart of health, wellbeing and fulfillment in life is the core work of belonging, self respect, and knowing that we are uniquely created, loved and have a purpose in life. we are nourished when the activities of each day feed our souls; when we make space to tune in and listen, to take notice of our nudges, inspirations and syncronicities and to be guided by what energizes us. when our soul is nourished, the other things seem to fall into place with ease.

make space to ‘feed the soul’ as you go into the days and weeks ahead Xx
