Wild and Free

Journey into the heart of the Mackenzie back-country.

Rugged, rustic, and awe-inspiring these grassroots retreats connect you with nature and your soul!

Facilitated by Penny Wilson (Tekapo Wellness) and guided by the expert team at Tekapo Adventures, the weekend will include walks and nature exploration, a series of  yoga, workshops, and delicious whole foods cooking, with free time to explore, or simply relax with a good book. Find out more about the retreat program.

We aim to create an open and relaxed environment with our small groups of up to six participants. Our meals are home-cooked with love, and can cater for a range of dietary needs.

Our wilderness home-base will be Memorial Hutt, an authentic high-country musterer's hut at the head of the Cass Valley where the Cass River meets the Ailsa Stream. It was built in 1928 in remembrance of Arthur Major who lost his life while mustering sheep up the Cass Valley in 1923. This hut has 8 beds and a log burner along with kitchen equipment and gas cooker. The inspiring scenery is breathtaking plus you can drive right to the door in your 4WD vehicle.

Spaces are limited on this boutique adventure - so book your spot today!
