Winter Retreat Program

The intention for this winter retreat is to provide a back-country experience that will challenge and inspire you. This is a more active adventure than our “Bravely Being” retreat, but we still allow time and space to relax and soak up the incredible views! The ‘program’ below outlines the general flow of the weekend, noting there may be changes due to the weather and snow conditions. Times are fluid and flexible to the needs to the group.

Friday:

12:00pm - Introductions, Welcome and Gear check at Edelweiss Lodge, 8 Erebus Place.

12:30pm - Transport to the trek start.

1:00pm - 4:00pm - Trek/snow-shoe to Rex Simpson Hutt

4:00pm - Relax with a hot drink and enjoy the views!

5:30pm - ‘Feeling Free’ Yoga session

6:30pm - Evening meal

8:30pm - Yoga Nidra Relaxation

 

Saturday:

7:00am - Yoga and Nature Meditation

8:30am - Breakfast

9:30am - Workshop: Wellbeing in the Wild

10:00am - Alpine Snowshoe Adventure

12:30pm - Lunch & Workshop: Our Natural State

1:30pm - the Adventure continues…. snowshoe return to Rex Simpson Hutt

3:30-5:30pm - Free time 

5:30pm  - Nourishing Nibbles

7:00pm - Evening meal

8:30pm - Star Gazing

 

Sunday:

7:30am - Sunrise Yoga and Meditation

9:00am - Breakfast

10:30am - Workshop: Uniquely Me

11:30am - Reflection and next steps

1:00pm - Snowshoe/trek back to road end with lunch en-route

Return transport to Lake Tekapo

All activities are optional. You are welcome to explore during your free time; relax with a book, or journal, or enjoy a nap in nature!
